Spatial Enablement - Tasmania

2020 APSEA surprise!

The Esk Development Team have gone back-to-back APSEA's with the interactive Van Diemen's Land webmap winning ‘Spatial Enablement 2020’.We are excited to be attending Locate21 conference, where we are the Tasmanian representative in the Spatial Enablement category at the National Awards to be held in Brisbane on 31st March 2021.

Explore convict station and road construction data through time across Van Diemen's Land (lutruwita/Tasmania). This interactive heritage experience builds on the award-winning Port Arthur interactive map - our APSEA 2019 winner.

Special thanks to the University of New England team for bringing the idea and opportunity to unlock this rich, engaging historical information for broad consumption.

Both interactive maps are accessed via the Convict Landscapes landing page.
